Apple iPhone X has been officially unveiled at The Steve Jobs Theater at the new Apple campus to celebrate the company’s 10th anniversary. Along with the much-hyped and much-awaited iPhone X, Apple even unveiled the all new iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus.
There were a lot of expectations from the company regarding the launch of the Apple iPhone X and we have to say that it looks really good. But saying it is the best smartphone yet would not be a good idea as it’s not yet launched and we need to see how it works and performs in our daily lives. However, it certainly is redesigned compared to the previous models as the button has been removed to feature a near-borderless screen.

Apple iPhone X – Features and Specs
The iPhone X sport a 5.8-inch near bezel-less display with a screen resolution of 1125×2436 pixels and the company is calling it the Super Retina HD Display. The iPhone X has gotten rid of the Touch ID accompanying the Home button that was introduced in iPhone 5S.
Instead of the TouchID, the latest device comes with a Face ID where you can scan your face to unlock the device. There is a set of sensors on the front of the smartphone – flood illuminator, infrared camera, front camera and dot projector – that reads the face in any condition and then matches it with the one saved on the device when the setup for Face ID was done.
The front camera on the smartphone can even be used to create Animoji, animated emojis, that resembles your facial expressions and use them in your chat messages.
iPhone X will be powered by Bionic A11 processor and it will support wireless charging as well. It sports 12-megapixel dual cameras on the back with dual OIS (optical image stabilization) with one having f/1.8 aperture while the other one as f/2.4 aperture and other features like QUAD-LED True Tone Flash, portrait mode, portrait lightning and new set of filters and deeper pixels.
On the connectivity front, the smartphone supports LTE Advanced, Bluetooth 5.0 among other things and it is water and dust resistant with wireless and fast charging feature.
Apple iPhone X Price
Since the smartphone is one of the best smartphones from the company, it comes with a hefty price tag. The price of the iPhone X begins at $999 for the 64GB and the 256GB variant and the pre-order begins from October 27th and the shipping process will begin from November 3rd. There are only 2 color options – silver and space gray.
The smartphone will be the first smartphone to cross the 1-lakh barrier as the iPhone X 256GB variant is priced at Rs. 1,02,000 and the 64GB variant is priced at Rs. 89,000.
Apple iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus – Features and Specs:
The iPhone 8 and the iPhone 8 Plus seems to be the standard upgrade to the previous models as they sport the exact same design as their predecessors. These new smartphones, however, sport aluminum and glass bodies and will now be available in only the 64GB and 256GB variants.
The new iPhones are powered by A11 Bionic SoC 6-core processor with improved GPU and sports a Retina HD display with True Tone colors, unlike the Super Retina HD Display in iPhone X.
The iPhone 8 has a 12-megapixel camera on the back, while the iPhone 8 Plus sports a 12MP+12MP dual camera setup with Portrait mode, Portrait Lightning and Quad-LED True Tone flash.
Rest of the features and specifications are quite the same with LTE Advanced, Bluetooth 5.0 and more as the connectivity options, support for wireless charging and fast charging, and these are water and dust resistant as well. Moreover, the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus has the TouchID in the front as usual.
Most of the features are same as their predecessors, but there are some changes like the improved display, 25% louder speakers, glass front and back and new color options – Silver, Space Gray and Gold Finish.
Apple iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus Price
In the US, the iPhone 8 is priced at $699 and $849 for the 64GB and the 256GB models respectively while the iPhone 8 Plus is priced at $799 and $949 for the 64GB and 256GB models respectively.
The price of the new iPhone 8 in India will be Rs. 64,000 and Rs. 77,000 for the 64GB and the 256GB models while for the iPhone 8 Plus, it will be Rs. 73,000 and Rs. 86,000 for the 64GB and the 256GB variants.
The pre-orders for these new iPhones start from September 15th in the US, the UK, China, and 26 other countries, and the shipping will begin from September 22nd. For the Indian market, the pre-orders from September 22nd, as part of the second phase, and the shipping process will begin from September 29th.
